Description

What is Hedan tabl. 100 mg x 3 and what is it used for:

Hedan is a medicinal product for the treatment of acute migraine attacks – with or without display of warning signs (aura), such as increased sensitivity to light, feelings of nausea and vomiting. It is not indicated for the prevention of migraine attacks. Hedan contains sumatriptan, which belongs to a group of medicines called triptans or 5-HT1 receptor agonists.

Migraine symptoms are believed to be caused by temporary dilation of blood vessels in the brain. Sumatriptan works by narrowing these vessels.
