From June 26 to 28, colleagues from across BestaMed came together in Pravets for another exciting edition of Besta Challenge – our annual sporting event that celebrates determination, teamwork, and the courage to take on new challenges.
This year’s edition was the most diverse yet, featuring 22 disciplines that tested not only physical endurance and strength, but also precision, focus, strategy, and collaboration. Alongside the traditional favourites, participants embraced several new challenges, including standing long jump, skipping rope, chess, and football target shooting, making the competition even more dynamic and engaging.
Besta Challenge begins with some of the most demanding disciplines of the weekend, setting the pace for everything that follows. Early mornings, packed schedules, and continuous challenges encouraged participants to step outside their comfort zones, push their limits, and support one another every step of the way.
One of the highlights of this year’s event was the team relay challenge. Instead of competing against each other, 16 colleagues joined forces to achieve one shared goal. Each participant completed 100 metres, covering a total distance of 1,600 metres at a pace 17 seconds faster than the men’s marathon world record pace – a remarkable achievement that perfectly reflected the spirit of teamwork.
The numbers from this year’s Challenge speak for themselves:
- 22 sporting disciplines
- 16 participants in the team relay
- 1,600 metres completed together in the relay
- 17 seconds faster than the men’s marathon world record pace in the team relay
- 1,055 butterfly sit-ups
- 874 crunches
Beyond the results, Besta Challenge is about much more than competition. It is about challenging ourselves, encouraging one another, celebrating every achievement, and creating experiences that strengthen our team long after the event has ended.
Every year, Besta Challenge reminds us that the greatest accomplishments are not only measured by medals or records, but by the people who stand beside us throughout the journey.
We are already looking forward to the next challenge.
