Your medication is called IMURAN. IMURAN belongs to a group of medicines called immunosuppressants. It is used to suppress the functions of the immune system.
Immunosuppressants are drugs whose use is in some cases necessary to assist the body in receiving transplanted organs, e.g. kidney, heart or liver. They are also used to treat the following diseases in which the immune system attacks the cells of the body (autoimmune diseases): severe rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis and polymyositis, autoimmune chronic active hepatitis, pemphigus vulgaris, polyarteritis nodosa, autoimmune hemolytic anemia and autoimmune polymorphism chronic refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
IMURAN can also be used to treat multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease and chronic ulcerative haemorrhagic colitis (chronic inflammatory bowel disease).
Your doctor has decided that this medicine is right for you and your condition. IMURAN can be used on its own, but in most cases it is used in combination with other medicines.

Imuran 50 mg film-coated tablets are yellow, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets marked “GX-CH1”.
Imuran is in the form of film-coated tablets in PVC / aluminum blisters. Each pack contains a total of 100 tablets (4 blisters x 25 tablets).
