What is Avoran® tablets 2.5 mg x 6 and what is it used for?

Avoran contains frovatriptan, which belongs to a group of medicines called triptans (also known as 5-HT1 receptor agonists).

Avoran is used for the treatment of migraine with or without aura (a temporary subjective sensation before a migraine attack, which varies in individuals and may affect vision, smell, or hearing).

Avoran should not be used for the prevention of migraines.

What Avoran® tablets 2.5 mg x 6 look like and what the packaging contains:

Avoran tablets are white to almost white, round, film-coated tablets, smooth on both sides. They are available in blister packs of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 12 tablets.

Not all pack sizes may be available for sale.
